Wafa
enjoys volunteering with kids!
Hiromi
coordinates volunteers for a local social group and is heading a local
community volunteer center to encourage young people to take more action!
Ben is a
university student very interested justice issues for youth, especially
freedom of expression.
Phina
leads her university volunteer group, doing projects with youth, the
elderly, and many community activities.

Mani
coordinates several different social welfare programs in rural Northern India
including HIV/AIDS, healthcare, and economic and youth development projects.
Manami
voluntarily tutors foreigners in Japanese and is frequently involved with
fundraising for voluntary projects.
Godati
is a program officer for several social welfare programs involving health and
economic development in rural India.
Hiroko
enjoys communicating with people all over the world to share experiences and
ideas.
Meena
does a wide variety of community volunteering, including working with the
disabled, emergency relief collections and in youth development.
Cossie has been involved with
community building and would like to integrate her experiences on social
welfare for international cooperation, especially disaster relief.
Natch
enjoys the environment and beaches and would like to work with and on behalf
of street children.

James is
currently a project coordinator with a local NGO overseeing their
Micro-Enterprise Support Program. He is also very involved with youth
development and leadership training.
Hatch
has been actively involved in anti-landmines and water conservation causes and
conferences. She is a long-time scout and a youth leader. She also is a docent
at an art gallery and a nature interpreter at a forest in Aichi, Japan.
Andra
has worked on behalf of refugees, has organized an NGO peace conference, and
is a hospice volunteer.
After
seeing firsthand the poverty of the children on "trash mountain" in
the Philippines, Seiko held her own fundraiser and sent donations for home
building supplies. She is working with the YMCA on many projects.
After
her visit to a Philippines work camp last summer, Naoko is anxious to join an
NGO and help get others involved in volunteerism.
Jimmy
sings, dances, and plays music. He regularly organizes and performs in
fundraisers for many great causes in Mauritius.
Mayumi
traveled for nearly 2 months throughout SE Asia, and was very affected by some
of the poverty she saw. She would like to get more involved through
volunteerism.

Chie is
very interested in the issues of children overseas but meanwhile has been busy
working with Japan's Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Yuko was
shocked to find how few children on Mindo Island in the Philippines were able
to attend school. She is also interested in the balance between international
development and the natural culture of a people.
Teshi is
very active as the Secretary-General of the Intl Youth Exchange Organization (IYEO) alumni in Kyoto.
Mylene
is a theater professional who also organizes international fundraising and
awareness-raising events for the NGO "Feed the Children", which
advocates on behalf of children.
Akane
likes to coordinate intercultural exchange between children and guests to
Japan.
Patrik
is on the board of the International Cultural Youth Exchange which exchanges
citizens for community development projects.
After
Nabe participated in a Habitat for Humanity home build in the Philippines, she
became extremely interested in how to bring effective help and
self-sustainable projects to developing countries. 
Marika
enjoys teaching children about the importance of taking care of the
environment. She volunteers with a Japanese NGO "NICE" which bridges
Japanese work camp volunteers around the world.
Yosse
thinks life is nothing without movies and music!
Misa is
busy looking for the best way to get involved in volunteerism and do something
positive for her community.
Shige
enjoys intercultural exchange programs.
